Alex School

This week has been very busy. We had revival at church, company, and several outings.

Alex and Sabrina gathered pinecones to take to Gilcrease Animal Sanctuary for the birds. The kids had a lot of fun with this. We talked about how we can help others without using money. They gathered a whole shopping bag of pinecones.

Gilcrease Animal Sanctuary is a great place. The kids got to see and pet animals they normally wouldn’t such as: donkeys, a miniature horse, and goats. They also had llamas, a mule deer, ducks, a turkey, emus, and lots of other birds.

The kids enjoyed playing with the Thomas the Tank Engine train set at Barnes and Nobles. (It’s funny how even though he’s “too old for Thomas,” he always runs straight to this train table.)

After story-time we spent time playing with the puzzles in the library.

Imaginations soared at the quarter machines outside of Food 4 Less.

Alex worked did work in Spectrum Math and The Complete Book of Animals workbook (that he got for Valentine’s Day from his grandparents).

Alex got to help choose the fish and help set up the tank. He named several of the fish; the plecostomus is Mr. Vacuum and the beta is Mr. Feisty.

Alex and I played several rounds of his All Around Town game which is one of his favorites.

We met the homeschool group at the park for a potluck and Valentine’s Day Party. Alex was super excited and loved passing out Valentines. He also made several new friends and spent most of the time with them.
