Our friends took us to the Historic Wendover Airfield Museum. We got to go into a C-47 aircraft. The inside was stripped , but still very interesting.
The control tower is 60 feet tall. After climbing it, I have a new appreciation of air traffic controllers. It was a workout and several in our party do not like heights, so we did not even look inside. Silly us.
We all learned a bit of history from the museum. Who knew such a small town, (where the nearest WalMart is about 120 miles away) has such a rich history?
