New Home Tour

We moved less than a month ago, so the house isn't totally arranged how we want it, but it is getting there.

Downstairs:

Alex's room is smaller than his old room so we bought these shelves from IKEA.

The living room, dining room, and kitchen have an open floor plan. When we are downstairs we spend most of our time in the dining area. Frank set up a corner for hobbies and the shelves contain our collection of board games.

The kitchen is a work in progress. I'm still trying to figure out where everything goes. We did major battle with bugs, mainly ants and crickets, when we first moved in so it took a while to get that under control.

The downstairs bathroom hasn't been decorated yet.

This room will be a play room and computer room. It is in the hall off of the kitchen.

Our laundry area is in the same hall between the playroom and the garage. The garage still has a bunch of stuff in it and isn't organized. It will have a hobby area and our book shelves along with storage when it is.

Upstairs:

This area, in the upstairs hall, is for linens and Sabrina uses it as her study area. I originally thought about removing one of the doors to make it a desk, but we need it for the linens. Sabrina just sits on the cabinet to read or do school work.

This will be our adopted kid's room.

This is the Jack and Jill bathroom connected to the adopted kid's and Sabrina's bedrooms.

Sabrina's room. She has a closet unlike at our other house.

The Master Bedroom will be painted eventually. The master bath is not organized, but functional.

Our backyard.

As I said it is a work in progress, but we love it. We have met several neighbors and they are all nice. We have been walking or running through the neighborhood and it is a quiet safe place.
