We love going to Calico Basin. First we walked the boardwalk around the meadow.
We took the trail to the base of the mountain so we could do some rock scrambling. Once we got to a relatively flat area I stopped and let the little boys play with the dirt and small rocks. Frank, Alex, and Sabrina got to scramble higher. We had the area totally to ourselves, except near the parking lot.
