The Ronald McDonald House has several volunteer opportunities that kids can do. We decided to try out being the cookie crew to see if it would be a good fit for us.
As members of the Cookie Crew we go to the Ronald McDonald House and bake whatever kind of cookies we choose. The cookies are for the residents and some are brought to the Ronald McDonald Room at a local Children's Hospital.
For our first time we made Sugar Cookies. We enjoyed it so much that we decided that the Cookie Crew will be the volunteer work Alex will need to complete for the Congressional Award. We will also do the Ronald McDonald House's Caring Cards, which is index cards we decorate to be added to the lunches they provide.
