Wendover- Christian Center Christian Fellowship Church

We went with our friends to go evangelizing. We went door to door inviting people to their church.

On the way back to the vehicles all of the kids had a snowball fight.

Frank also talked to people about Jesus and invited them to the church while we were out and about.

One of the church members held a Bible Study in his home. He taught on why we pray and the importance of prayer. It was a blessing.

Frank preached both services on Sunday. In the morning he spoke on how God can use any follower of Christ to pray for people around them and see God do the miraculous and then at the end of the service, God healed a woman who was present of chronic neck pain! In the evening, the message was about church unity, like football team, everyone has a vital role in the body of Christ.

Christmas Carols at Ethel M Chocolate Factory

Last night we met the choir from our mother church at Ethel M Chocolate  Factory. The chocolate factory has a cactus garden that they light up for Christmas every year and thousands of people come to see it. They allow us to sing and to pass out fliers inviting people to church. They even give those who participate a small bag of chocolate.

Of course, I took the kids to look at the lights and to do the tour. (I don't have a picture of Frank, but he was there too.)

Outreach

On Saturday, we were joined by several members of our mother church to go on outreach. We went to an apartment complex near the church to invite people to come worship with us.

Outreach

We had about five local churches, (within several hours drive) come to help us do an outreach for our revival. It was exciting to have so much help! It would have taken us months to reach all the areas that were reached in one day!

Afterwards we met at a local park for a picnic.

Boulder City Park

Frank went to Boulder City to help with an outreach they had. He picked me and the kids up to go have lunch at a park with them.

They met a lady who used to go to our church when Frank pastored several years ago.

Of course the kids had fun at the play ground.

Outreach- Caroling at WalMart

We met the choir from Pastor Jones' church at WalMart. We sang many Christmas songs and passed out many invitations to church. It was a lot of fun.

Foxridge Park

We went to Foxridge Park close to dusk, so all of the pictures are grainy. Frank got the opportunity to tell several people the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The kids played at the playground, of course.

We also brought a Frisbee! Sabrina and I played with that most of the time, but the boys joined us. The four of us played until it got too dark to see the Frisbee.

Skate Park

Today, we went to both playgrounds at "Skate Park".  As usual, Frank evangelized while the kids played. The kids love parks and we love that they are free.

Skate Park

"Skate Park" is one of the bigger parks near our house. We have been there multiple times recently. I take the kids to the playground while Frank shares the Gospel.

Shrek Play

On Saturday, we met up with several local churches to promote a free play; the Wedding of Shrek and Fiona. We went door-to-door in several apartment complexes near where the play was held. Of course, the play was funny and had a Christian message.

The kids colored a coloring page to enter a raffle. Alex got to pick the raffle tickets from the jar. Sabrina got more and more upset each time her number wasn't called. The last number was hers.

She was so excited to win dinner for us from the pizza place that allowed the church to use their parking lot.

Las Vegas Rescue Mission

Last night our family had the opportunity to go to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission to hear a friend preach. The Rescue Mission is a Christian homeless shelter. Frank got to testify and to pray with people afterwards.

Going there was a great opportunity to teach the kids about the homeless. Although the kids see homeless and often give them bottles of water, it was different to see so many in one place. I think this was the first time the kids realized that there are homeless kids.

Maslow Park and Street Preaching

Yesterday we took the kids and a ball to Maslow Park. Sabrina is interested in learning to play soccer, or at least kicking a ball around.

Of course, the kids also got to play at the play ground.

We all took a turn on the microphone during street preaching. My main job during street preaching is safety officer for the kids.

Modified Media Fast- Day 11

Today was a Family Day. Though most of the pictures are of the kids, all four of us were together all day long. It has been a very busy, very good day.

The kids' classes resumed today. Sabrina was thrilled to have a few new girls in her class. Alex's class has shrunk greatly, or perhaps there was just a bunch of absences. Either way, he got one-on-one instruction with Master Ashley for his first class.

During Alex's second class, Sabrina and I went for a walk on the trails behind the rec center. We stopped at the exercise stations along the way. It was hard to do squats on the balance board, but fun.

We came back in for the last half of Alex's second class. Sabrina was bored so we played the Whac-a-Mole card game. We played slow and I let her win- she hasn't quite figured this game out yet.

After lunch we spent a little time walking in our neighborhood meeting new neighbors and inviting them to our party. We finally met another little girl! Though she's a couple of years younger than Sabrina they didn't care they had so much fun that we hated to leave. (P.S. That's our house.)

We all went to the outreach. I had a few people who said they'd like to come to church, some who weren't interested, and one who threatened to shoot me.

She said she wasn't interested. I said, "Have a nice day," and turned to leave. When I knocked on her neighbor's door she came back to the door yelling at me to, "GIT!" I informed her that her neighbor could decide if they wanted me to leave or not. Next thing I knew she was pointing her finger at me like a gun and threatening to get her gun and call the cops. I admit to being nervous- I had no idea if she had a gun in her house or not. I was happy to leave a flier on her neighbor's door and "Git."

Alex and Sabrina were very happy when I told them we could stop at the apartment's play ground. There was a bunch of children there for them to play with. We didn't stay long, but they had a real good time.

Today was Frank's turn to clean the church. We all pitched in; though I didn't help as much as I could have. I started playing around with the microphone and I had an appreciative audience who begged me to keep singing- yeah, it's all the kids' fault...

We also stopped by the library and swung through a drive-thru. Then we spent a relaxing evening at home with the adults reading while the kids played and listened to an audiobook.
