Utah- Classic Skating

We had the place pretty much to ourselves for the first hour. It was great! We spent all of that time on the roller skating rink. Then a group of 60 kids from a local school came. This place allows scooters on the rink at the same time as skates. (WHY?) The kids were not well supervised and several times came close to crashing into us.

We moved on to the other attractions. Sabrina loved the tractor jump thing and I'm not even sure how many times she jumped off of it. The kids were not supervised at all on the bouncy houses. One girl repeatedly pushed a boy off and later I found out they threatened to skip Sabrina's turn. At that time I couldn't find a worker, much less someone supervising the kids.

Alex found a corner somewhere to hide in for a while.

Alex started playing with Laser Tag with a group from the school. He absolutely loved it. After they left, he talked Sabrina into joining him.

I bought the kids all day passes. We left for lunch, but came back after picking Frank up from work. Alex and Frank had a lot of fun playing Laser Tag together. Sabrina joined them for the last game.

Utah- McDonald's

Sabrina is used to jumping on the trampoline every single day. Hotels do not have trampolines, nor do they want kids jumping on the beds. Thankfully there was a McDonald's across the street with a play place.

Utah- Board Games

We brought some board games from home that we hadn't played yet for downtime during our trip. It was a good thing because most places we went didn't open until 11.

Utah- Pizza Pie Cafe

Full on tourists even taking selfies with our food.

Utah- Nickel City

After picking Frank up from work we went to an arcade. This place was like a Chuck E Cheese for older kids and teens. We had a great time!

Utah- Utah Lake

We had planned to spend about an hour walking around Utah Lake. However, there was a wind storm, but I still made the kids walk around for a few minutes. They hatred it. I loved it.

Utah- Bean Life Science Museum

The Bean Life Science Museum is quite impressive. It is a free museum on the BYU campus.

There are lots of specimens and information on the animals and conservation.

Utah- BYU Paleontology Museum

Alex took us to BYU to visit a few of their museums. Our first stop was the Paleontology Museum. It is quite small, but nice.

Utah- Hotel Pool

Frank had a business trip to Utah and we got to tag along! At first we were going to have this trip count for Alex's Congressional Award, but after the first day, we decided just to let it be a fun vacation. Alex did plan out what we did, but we didn't have to keep track of how long we stayed and wonder if our activities would count.

The kids haven't been in a pool since last Summer. The water was cool, but they had fun anyway.

While we were there, someone was taking Ph readings. The next day the hot tub was closed. The guy didn't say anything to us or to the others in the pool.

Nursery

Sabrina helped in the nursery Sunday morning. She has volunteered to help out whenever she is needed.

Library- After Hours May the Fourth Be With You

We dropped Alex and Sabrina off at the library for a fun after hours Star Wars themed event. They had a great time and gushed about their adventures when we picked them up.

Ants in the Pants Productions

Alex and Sabrina have started a new acting class at our local recreation center. It is put on by Ants in the Pants Production. My kids had the instructor all to themselves. (I hope they don't cancel the class because the others didn't show up.)

Alex said that if Mr. "Big" was teaching on the History of European Pottery, he would still want to be in the class because Mr. "Big" is such a fun guy.

Homeschool Group- Park Day

We met our friends at Reunion Trails Park. Sabrina was oh so very happy that the splash pad is now on! She got absolutely soaked- duh.

Alex spent most of his time playing basketball with his friends.

Life Skills- Capes

Sabrina made a cape for Faith and for some stuffed animals. Sabrina came up with the idea, bought the material with her money, and made them by herself.

At first Faith was a superhero and later she became a princess.

English Second Language Class

The class was on verb conjugation.

Sabrina had a whole lot of fun with Faith. She told me that Faith is like a little sister to her.

Nursery

Sabrina greatly enjoyed teaching Faith to play with puppets.
