Wendover- Tourists

We were true tourists and did all the things that the locals haven't even done. It was a whole lot of fun being tourists in a small town.

We took pictures with the famous real neon sign,Wendover Will, (who I had never heard of until getting ready to come to Wendover). I tried to get a picture of him lit up at night, but it was too blurry.

We stopped at the Welcome Center to learn more about the area and to get brochures.

We visited the 509th Composite Group World War II Memorial.

We went out to see the Bonneville Salt Flats. It was muddy so we did not get off of the road.

Alex and Sabrina straddled the Nevada/Utah state line.

We also visited the Transcontinental Telephone Line Monument. On June 17, 1914, AT&T erected the last pole connecting the East Coast and West Coast of the U.S.A. in Wendover.

Of course, we also really enjoyed the natural beauty of the area, probably more than those who are used to it.
