Homeschool Group- Christmas Caroling at the Nursing Home

Once again we met our homeschool group at a nursing home to sing Christmas Carols. It is so much fun!

Frank and I kicked the kids out of our room to spend some quality time together. (Okay, we are parents so of course one kid came in. Said kid paid a penalty of taking pictures. We answered said kid's questioned and told said kid not to return.)

Thanksgiving

We were one of several families, who our friends invited over for Thanksgiving. We ate a lot of yummy food. Then we played games. We had a great time!

5K- Veterans' Village

We did the 5K for Veteran's Village. Frank, Alex, and Sabrina ran the race. It was Sabrina's first time running a 5K! I walked. Whoever, planned the course was mean and added two steep dips, (both underpasses) with a turnaround as soon as you made it up the hill. Not nice! 

Despite that our runners did good. Frank beat his own best time! Sabrina got 4th place in her age group. Alex got 4th place in his age group!

Utah- Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum

This is what happens when you tell a teenager to "stand in front of something" for a photo op. It is a nice wall. The following photo is what happens when you are more specific.

We have been to this museum several times. Sabrina requested that we go back.

There was a group of special needs teens visiting the museum while we were. One of them kept skipping in between us as I was trying to get the picture. I don't think he was trying to photo bomb us, but it was very funny.

Utah- Classic Skate

Frank had a short business trip to Utah. The kids and I got to tag along. So, while he was at work we got to play. We went to Classic Skate, which has roller skating, scooters, laser tag, an arcade, bouncy houses, and tunnels. It is a very cool place. I got the all day pass for Alex and Sabrina and I got the roller skating pass for me.

The skating rink had different colored carpet on the walls, which was perfect for silly photo ops.

We spent hours there. Sabrina spent most of her time on the bouncy houses.

Alex spent most of his time playing laser tag. There was a group of teens there for a while, so he had plenty of people to play with for a little while anyway.

We spent about an hour roller skating.

Alex and I played multiple rounds of Air Hockey. It was crazy with two pucks!

I really enjoyed spending time with Alex and Sabrina.

We returned after picking Frank up from work so he could play laser tag with Alex.

Afterwards, we went to a very nice Chinese buffet that was new to us, but will be a must on every visit from now on.

Homeschool Group- Co-op

Alex is doing well in Co-op, he has Honor Roll.

Sabrina is also doing well in her classes. She also has Honor Roll. The pictures are from her Variety Class, the only class of hers that I am in. They spent a few weeks learning to use a sewing machine and made several simple projects. Now they are wrapping up learning about puppetry.

Many of us go to the park after co-op. The kids normally play a variation of tag. Lately Alex has been bringing his dodge balls.
