Phoenix, Az Vacation- Imagination Avenue
While the boys were in Men's Class I took Sabrina to Imagination Avenue. It's a fun playplace for kids Sabrina's age and younger. As you will see, each house has a different theme.
Sabrina got to go "shopping" at a cute little boutique.
Sabrina put on an original puppet show.
Nurse Sabrina fixed my broken ankle.
Sabrina got to be a grocery store owner.
Firefighter Sabrina gave me a fire safety course.
Sabrina got a chance to be co-owner of a bakery.
The little house had so many baby dolls that Sabrina decided it was a day care.
Sabrina also got to work at a hardware store.
Sabrina had a very fun career day! The only bad thing was we forgot our jackets, so I called and left a message for them to donate the jackets.

Phoenix, Az Vacation- Girls Night In and Men's Class
The whole reason we went to Phoenix was so Frank and Alex could go to Men's Discipleship class on Friday night and Saturday morning, but of course we made a vacation out of it.
While the boys were gone Sabrina and I had Girls' Night In. We played games, played with stuffed animals, and watched the Lego Movie.

Phoenix, Az Vacation- Papago Park
After the military museum we stopped at a park. Only after we stopped did we realize that we have been to this park more than once.
After letting the kids play at the play ground for a few minutes we took a very short hike for a photo op.

Phoenix, Az Vacation- Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum
Alex is quite passionate about military history so when we found out about the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum, of course, we took him. When Alex saw the toy steel pot helmets, in the gift shop he got so excited he was shaking! Yes, he even knows the different kinds of helmets, (I told you he is really into military history).
The museum was quite nice- it reminded me of the Air Force Museum in Ohio. We even got to go onto some of the planes including the B-17 Flying Fortress in the pics.
Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum, we salute you.

Phoenix, Az Vacation- Chickfil-A
We ate at Chickfil-A since Vegas doesn't have one. The food was good, and the kids had fun in the play area.

Phoenix, Az Vacation- Rio Salado Audubon Center
We visited the Rio Salado Audubon Center. First we visited the nature center and gift shop. Sabrina fell in love with a stuffed coyote. She didn't have enough for it, but when Alex, who did have enough picked the same stuffed animal we went ahead and got hers too. They have been playing with them ever since.
After the Nature Center we took a hike. It was a beautiful day. We enjoyed being together in nature.

Phoenix, Az Vacation- Days Inn
Our hotel was the Days Inn. We both felt uneasy as we pulled up- there was graffiti on their property and signs everywhere saying they weren't responsible for theft. We ignored that uneasiness and got our room anyways. In the room Sabrina found sunflower seeds on the floor- gross, but we figured the vacuum just didn't pick them up. We dropped off our luggage and left.
Later when we returned the uneasiness was still there. Two men on bicycles with flashlights were leaving the parking lot. Another guy was just hanging around the parking lot. We parked the car directly in front of our window. When I looked out the window to check on the car I noticed the curtain was stained. It actually had mold on it. Shortly after that the bathroom started smelling very strongly of pot. Needless to say we left. I'm not saying all Days Inns are like that, but that was our experience with this particular one.
We ended up at The Comfort Inn, which was quite nice.

Phoenix, Az Vacation- Peter Piper Pizza
We miss having Peter Piper Pizza in Las Vegas. So, we were happy that they are in Phoenix. YUM!!!
We got a coupon on-line for 100 tokens for $20. We had fun, but I did notice this Peter Piper Pizza's play place was smaller than the one that used to be in Las Vegas and it also had quite a few games that weren't working, (the kids did not notice). However, their prizes are better than Chuck E Cheese- and needless to say, so is the pizza.

Phoenix, Az Vacation- El Oso Park
We arrived in Phoenix about the time the museums were closing so we found a park to visit. The kids really really liked El Oso Park!

Outreach at Ethel M
Our family went to Ethel M to see the lights and to pass out fliers inviting people to church. The kids passed out most of the fliers because they wanted to and I was too busy keeping an eye on them. We passed out hundreds of fliers in a very short amount of time.

Sunset Park
Our church had an outreach at Sunset Park. Frank and Raymond took fliers and invited people. I watched the kids, including Raymond's daughter at the play ground.

Game Night
We played the kids' version of Tri-Ominos. I love the adult version, but it is too difficult for Sabrina. The kid version has animals on it as well as numbers.
Next up was Don't Spill the Beans. I think it is supposed to be a two player game, but we made it work for the four of us.
We played several rounds of Zingo. I really like Think Fun games and we have a lot of them.
Our last game was All Around Town. I picked this game up at a teachers' store a couple years ago, according to the box it is supposed to make your kid into a genius, but really it's just a fun game.

Wetlands Park
Frank worked from home, Alex played with neighborhood kids, and Sabrina and I went to Wetlands Park. We took our time and also took trails we normally don't. It was so peaceful, we totally avoided the stress and madness of Covetous Friday.
Sabrina and I saw lots of birds and heard other animals moving about in the reeds. It was a very relaxing time and I enjoyed spending time alone with "My Shadow".
It was fun having girl time. Most of the time when it is just the two of us; it is at home when the boys go out. So this was a nice change of pace.

Thanksgiving
We spent Thanksgiving with family and friends, (not in stores). We ate good food and enjoyed good fellowship. We have so much to thank God for.
We also joined Pastor Jones' church for a desert fellowship and game night. It was a very good day.
