Elias' Birthday Party
We were invited to a birthday party for our friends' three year old. I wasn't feeling well, so Frank took Alex and Sabrina. The party was held at a park with a splash pad.

CHoSN- Project 150
We joined CHoSN today at Project 150, which is a nonprofit that helps homeless teens. We spent three hours sorting clothing donations. They have a boutique that allows teens to get nice clothes for free.

Library- Teen Event Cosplay Prom
Alex and Sabrina enjoyed a costume party at our library. I am really glad the after hours "teen" events are really ages 10+. Both kids have a great time and I am happy that they have some events together without parents. Frank and I went on a date while the kids were at the library.

Homeschool Group- Ice Cream Social
Alex and Sabrina got to attend the Ice Cream Social and Trivia Night hosted by our homeschool group. Alex got all answers correct under the topic of "People of the Old Testament", while Sabrina only missed one. They didn't do as well on some of the other topics.

Cowabunga Bay
We have a pass that includes a visit to Cowabunga Bay. We had never been there before. The kids and Frank enjoyed the slides. I was content with the wave pool and the lazy river. At one point Sabrina got trapped between two inner tubes in the wave pool. She kept getting knocked down before she could get her balance. Frank rescued her. After she calmed down she went right back to the same spot, because she is adventurous.
We all got sunburned- WEAR SUNSCREEN!

English Second Language Class
Tonight's class was on conditional statements. The class learned about if and when.
Alex baked cookies and played with the older child, which is a great help to me. He is so much older than his siblings that he gets bored being in there with them.
Sabrina and I had fun playing with the younger children. Sabrina also baked cookies for the class.

Homeschool Group- Game Club
I wasn't expecting anybody to show up because I did not get the notifications of when they signed up. Thankfully, I was still home when they came because I was about to go to the store.
Despite being caught unawares, we had a good Game Club meeting.

Nursery
Sabrina helped out in nursery, even though she wasn't scheduled. It is a good thing she did because they had five toddlers who were very active and needy. When I went to get her after service, kids were trying to escape and it looked like every toy had been dumped out. Thankfully it isn't normally that crazy.

Swimming Pool with Friends
We met some friends at another local swimming pool. It was a lot of fun.

Ronald McDonald House
I volunteered to help man a table for the Ronald McDonald House at the Kid's Mix event. I explained about the Caring Card Program and got kids to submit their drawings. It was fun. I was able to encourage lots of kids to keep doing art for a good cause. I enjoyed it so much that I stayed an extra hour.

Independence Day
Some friends invited us over for swimming and grilling. Sabrina stayed in the pool the entire time. Alex swam for a bit then played video games with his friends. Frank and I spent most of our time on the deck watching the kids swim.

Roller Skating
We are enjoying our pass for the skating rink. We plan on going every week during the Summer, even when the passes are used up.

We have been putting our pool membership to good use.
One day Sabrina and I went to the outdoor pool while, the guys went to the indoor pool to swim laps.
The next day we took one of Sabrina's friends to the outdoor pool.

Suzy's B-day Party
While Alex was at the teen event, the rest of us went to a birthday party for one of Sabrina's good friends. Sabrina bought her a sketchbook and we got her a 100 pack of color pencils, since she likes to draw. We only knew one other family, besides the hosts, but we had a wonderful time.

Seedling Theatre- Teen Theatre Games
Alex got to go to a teen event at Seedling Theatre. He let the friend he made during the Summer Camp know he was going and was quite happy that he attended too. They had a great time!

We met our homeschool group at the indoor pool. These two had a great time mostly playing together.
