Wayne's Visit- Gilcrease

After leaving Floyd Lamb Park, we had a picnic at Gilcrease.

We spent the majority of our time in the goat pen. The younger ones were repeatedly trying to eat our clothes.

Have you ever seen a goat this small? Polly Pocket is't a newborn, but she is the smallest triplet.

Wayne's Visit- Floyd Lamb Park

What are they looking at?

Wayne joined us for our first visit to Floyd Lamb Park. It is a very pretty place with several large ponds or small lakes. The spring babies were every where and we saw lots and lots of different kinds of birds.

Adventure Dome

Frank's work paid for us to go to the Adventure Dome as part of their family day. We had a great time. Alex rode his first real roller coaster. I think he liked it. Sabrina and I rode this one ride multiple times.

It has been a long time since we have visited the Natural History Museum. I love that this museum has lots of hands on things.

Railroad Tunnel Hike at Lake Mead

We had a very enjoyable family day hike at the Railroad Tunnel. We thought that Frank had lost his keys on the trail, but thankfully we found them after we got in the car. Afterwards we stopped at a park for a picnic lunch.

Tessa's Birthday party

Our friend Tessa had a b-day party and invited us. Her party was at a park and they had pony rides! The party was great, but after the party our van broke down and they had to give us a ride home.

Dyeing Easter Eggs

I had never dyed eggs with the kids. Several ladies at church told me that I just had to because it was so much fun. The kids did enjoy it, Sabrina more than Alex.

We had some left over dye so we dyed some old shirts. We liked the way they turned out, but the dye is washable so.... We will just have to get a tye-dye kit sometime.

Foxridge Park

One day, for family time we brought Sabrina's ball to Foxridge Park.

Kops for Kids

We went to a Kops for Kids event with some friends of ours who also homeschool. The kids got to go inside of police cars, an ambulance, the mobile booking station... The got to talk to military personnel, a forest ranger, fire fighters...

They learned about safety and the various jobs of these first responders. It was fun and educational.

Union Pacific Railroad Trail

The kids and I took our wheels to the Union Pacific Railroad Trail after dropping Frank off at work. We had a lot of fun.
