Pump It Up

After lunch we went to Pump-It-Up. It is Spring Break and it was super crowded!

Hoover Dam

We are thrilled that Annette, LeAnn, and Laura have come to visit! Yesterday Frank had to work so they got to be tourists during the day without us.

Today, we visited Hoover Dam. It was super crowded! So we only stayed a few minutes for a photo-op.

Lewis Family Park

 

On Saturday we briefly stopped at Lewis Family Park- very briefly because Frank's allergies were in overdrive!

McDonalds

As if going to the Clark County Museum and Morrel Park weren't enough we also went to McDonalds.

Morrel Park

After visiting the Clark County Museum we stopped at Morrel Park. It was such a nice day to be outside. We stayed for a long time. The kids played so well together and with the other boy that was there.

 



Alex's shoe accedently came off. After that all the kids' shoes came off almost every time they went down the slide. It was hilarious!

Clark County Museum

Today I took the three kids to the Clark County Museum. We got there a few minutes before they opened so it wouldn't be so hot.

Keenan had never been and he loved seeing the rabbits.

 

We walked the trails first. It was good exercise, but the kids complained it was sooo far!

Alex got to do some of the hands-on things. He loves this kind of thing.

A school was doing a field trip and after watching them stand in line in the parking lot for about 5-10 minutes, Alex decided he was very glad to be homeschooled.

As we walked through the period houses Alex hid in a linen closet and scared a group of girls from the field trip. It was so funny! They all screamed, "He's real!" I guess they thought he was one of the mannequins. His plan worked even better than he expected.

After that we walked another shorter trail. Alex is very good with Keenan, it's very sweet to watch them interact.

Lewis Family Park

On Saturday, I took the kids to Lewis Family Park. They have been couped up at the house and Frank has bad allergies... The kids had a real good time.

Umbrellas

The kids had a blast with the umbrellas Grandpa bought them. (We live in the desert and don't get much rain.)







Is it an umbrella or a gun? He's an eight year old boy, what do you think?

Pump It Up

Day four of our mission to wear Grandpa out and make lots of memories was also the last day of our mission. We went to Jason's Deli, ToysRUs, and  Pump-It-Up (an inflatable bouncy house and slide place).

The kids were super excited to go to Pump-It-Up! We went during open bounce and it was only $14 for all of us. Parents get to bounce for free with a child.

 

 

Of course, the grown-ups had a lot of fun too.

 

Frank found out I have a "talent" he never knew about.

After that it was time to take Grandpa to the airport. We had an absolute wonderful time. It is always a pleasure having Dad (aka Grandpa) visit. We are always sad to see him go.

Game night

Day three of our mission to wear Grandpa out and make lots of memories wasn't over! After dinner we had game night! (All grown-ups were worn out, but we played games anyway.)

The boys played Catan.

The girls played several games Sabrina style.

It may be another early night.

Gilcrease Animal Sanctuary

Our mission to wear Grandpa out and make lots of memories was not over! After eating lunch and driving in a very roundabout way, we made it to Gilcrease Animal Sanctuary.

 

Of course, the goat pen was a source of joy. The kids especially loved the antics of the younger goats.

We took a quick self tour- it was chilly! We got to see quite a variety of birds.

The kids put on an original play that was cut short when the prop, (stick) hit fingers instead of the other prop.

I met another Frankie, who was completely adorable. He bobbed when he got excited so we bobbed back which made him even more excited.

Aliante Park

Frank got to join us for day three of our mission to wear Grandpa out and make lots of memories!

We drove to the other side of town to take the kids to Aliante Park; the dinosaur park! It's a really nice park that we have only been to once because of the distance.

The kids played and played and played...

Then we walked around the park to look at the duck pond. The kids played some more, but were they worn out? NO!

Chuck E Cheese

After the library we ate at Subway then actually let Grandpa (and Mom) get some rest at home. Then we continued our mission of wearing Grandpa out and making memories. We went to Chuck E Cheese!

As we walked in Chuck E. was making the rounds so the kids got to dance with Chuck E and get free tickets.

I didn't get many pictures before my camera's batteries died. I promise the kids had a lot of fun! I had a good time competing with Alex on the hammer game- we played many times. Alex also enjoyed playing Air Hockey with Grandpa.

Then it was time to pick Frank up from work. We went home until time for church. Sabrina fell asleep in church and everyone except me went to bed early.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Sabrina is participating in a fabulous program called 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. The point is to read 1,000 books before kindergarten to grow a reader. The kids get a certificate for every 100 books read to them. When they reach 500 books they get a small prize and when they reach 1,000 books they get a book.

After storytime Sabrina recieved her first two certificates. She was super excited!
