Red Rock Canyon
We took my Father-in-Law, Wayne, to Red Rock Canyon. It is a wonderful place to go hiking.
Our first stop was the visitors' center. Sabrina sang a song to the many many butterflies. Then Alex got to do a scavenger hunt and get his Jr. Ranger Badge.
To Sabrina's great delight we had a picnic. The kids got to explore the picnic area for a little bit. Alex would have stayed there to climb all day, but the rest of us were ready to go for a hike.
It was a good day for a hike. The hike was through some pretty country. The kids enjoyed seeing insects and a few lizards. We were all glad to get back to the car.

Un-Birthday Party
Alex whined, "He's (Wayne) never here for my birthday!" So we had an un-birthday party the day Wayne got here. I went to the dollar store and got balloons and balloon theme party supplies; table cloth, plates, cups, napkins. I blew the balloons up after the kids were upstairs and hung them from the ceiling. I also got a pinata that I filled with little toys.
The kids big and small had fun whacking the dragon pinata.
Each child got a present, which was already bought for their real b-day.

Wayne's visit
We throughly enjoyed Wayne's visit. Frank's Dad is a great man who we love dearly. We are so thankful that he was able to come spent time with us.

Happy (late) B-day, Frank!
I am so blessed to have Frank as my not only husband, but also my best friend. He is a wonderful man, whom I greatly admire. He is a great father and is greatly loved by his wife and kids.

P.S. We didn't forget Frank's b-day, just the blog post is late.
Spring Mountain Ranch State Park
The day before Frank's b-day we took a family day-trip to Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. It is a beautiful spot.
Sabrina was thrilled that we had a picnic. I surprised everyone with cupcakes to celebrate Frank's b-day. After we ate we went to the house and looked around, but we didn't take the tour.
We went on a hike and it was a wonderful day for a hike. After a short loop through the woods we headed toward the cow and for another short hike to a pond.
It was a great day.

Blog
I'm sorry I haven't kept the blog up over the last month or so. A lot has happened, but I haven't taken the time to blog it. I'm going to catch up now.

Jaycee Park
This past Tuesday we went to Jaycee Park. Frank and John got to witness. They had a bigger crowd than is in the picture, but I didn't get any pictures.
I ran into my friend Kristina and her son. This is the second time we met at a park, two different parks, without planning it!
The kids had a great time playing at both playgrounds.

Wetlands Park and Red Lobster
For family night, (a while back) we went to Wetlands Park and then to Red Lobster. As usual, we had a good walk. We got to be in nature and see wildlife.
A damselfly landed on my hand then on Alex's hand. (The sun is in his eyes.) He was amazed. Sabrina tried to get it to land on her hand, but it flew away.
After we ate the kids got to touch a lobster, which, of course, is their favorite part of going to Red Lobster.

Winterwood Park
We went to Winterwood Park to evangelize and for the kids to play. It's amazing to see how people flock to Frank or John when they start giving out dollar bills.
Silly faces; neither one wanted to stop playing to pose for a picture.

Bouncy House
Sabrina got to pose with this horse that's posing as a service dog.

Paradise Park
Last month, (yes I'm behind on blog posts again) we started going to the park on Tuesdays to evangelize. Frank and John wave money around and draw a crowd for trivia questions. Then they do the good person test. Are you a good person? Have you ever lied? Have you ever taken something that did not belong to you? Ever used God's name in vain? Ever hated someone? Ever lusted after someone you are not married to? That is just five of the ten commandments and when you stand before God on judgment day, will you be innocent or guilty? No one has passed the test so far.
The kids get to play.

Chuck E. Cheese
We used some coupons to go to Chuck E. Cheese last week. The kids love that place and I'll try to remember NOT to get the pizza again.
This horse is Sabrina's favorite ride at Chuck E. Cheese. She spent most of her tokens riding the horse.
Alex was extremely happy to win all those tickets.

Welcome Back Friends- at Alexander Park
I'm so super excited that Tamie, Jacob, and Robert moved back! I told the kids that we were meeting friends at McDonalds then going to the park with them, but I didn't tell them who. When I saw them in the parking lot I asked Alex who it was. He stared for a long moment before replying, "I don't know. Who is that?" I leaned over and whispered, "It's Jacob." His eyes got huge and without saying a word he ran to the door.
We went to Alexander Park. I haven't been there since the last time I went with Tamie. They now have a splash pad. We spent hours there. The kids had a great time and I did too. I have missed Tamie as much as Alex has missed Jacob. I'm so glad they are back!
