Maslow Park's Splash Pad

Yesterday, for family daywe took water guns and bubbles to Maslow Park's splash pad! We had a great time.

Outreach at Malasky Park

Frank was in charge of running the Saturday Night Solution, an outreach our church has. We had a free Christian concert at Malasky Family Park. Eleven people prayed for salvation and four people from the park were at church on Sunday.

The kids got to play at the play ground,which of course they loved. (Well, Sabrina would have loved it more if I let her play on the splash pad.)

Sabrina also wanted help to climb a tree. When Alex saw her do it he wanted to also. Marie-Anne

Today was our first trip to a splash pad this year. The kids had a blast.

Story time at the Library

Today was the first time in months that we went to story time. The kids were very well behaved and had a lot of fun. As an added bonus they got to make me Mother's Day crafts.

Louisiana- Bug Day at the Kent House

Today Mom took the kids and me to Kent House's Bug Day. The kids had so much fun learning about and holding bugs. Sabrina even kissed a snake! We are getting on a plane in about an hour to go back home. It has been a great visit! Marie-Anne

Louisiana- Colfax Park with Dad and Courtney

After leaving the nursing home we met my Dad, Jimmy and sister, Courtney at Colfax Park. The kids had a good time. They loved playing with their Papaw Jimmy and Aunt Courtney.

We buried Alex in the rocks, but I don't have a picture of that yet. Marie-Anne

Louisiana- My Nana

We went to Colfax Nursing Home to visit my Nana, who is in her 90's. I was glad that Nana recognized us and she enjoyed watching the kids. It wasn't a pleasant trip because of Sabrina. She was extremely whiny. I don't know how many times she had to have something to drink, then she had to go to the bathroom, but not use it. Next time I will make sure I bring coloring books or something to keep her busy. Despite Sabrina's whiny attitude, I am glad we went. Marie-Anne

Louisiana- Chuck E. Cheese: Again

(Pics Coming soon) Jennifer, Amelia, Alex, Sabrina, and I went to Chuck E. Cheese. (We were planning on going somewhere else, but that place was closed.) The kids had a good time, but after playing in Nana's yard this morning, then going to the Children's Museum and Chuck E. Cheese Sabrina fell asleep in the car. Marie-Anne

Louisiana- Grumps

We are so glad that Dad got to be here for part of our trip. Frank and I even prayed he'd come back and he did! The kids were thrilled to spend time with Grumps. Marie-Anne

Louisiana- T.R.E.E.H.O.U.S.E. Children's Museum

Mom and I took the kids to the Children's Museum this morning. Alex had requested going there, so I'm glad we got to. Naturally, the kids had a great time. P.S. Don't you love the hats? Marie-Anne

Louisiana- Colfax Park

The kids and I picked up my Dad, Jimmy, then we went to the Colfax Park. It was a short, but fun visit. We're planning on going back later when we have more time. Marie-Anne

Louisiana- Dry Prong Park

This morning Mom and I took the kids to Dry Prong's Park. Of course they had fun!!!! Marie-Anne

Louisiana- Chandler's Creek

My favorite place in the whole world is the creek down the road from my Mom's. I spent many, many, many hours there as a kid. Now I get to share it with my kids. Although Alex went with me last year, today was Sabrina's first time. I'm glad that Mom went with us.

I think I was the biggest kid there. I had so much fun catching small crawfish to show the kids. I also collected nature items like beaver chewed sticks, nuts, clay, and seeds for the kids' nature box. We had a picnic, which the kids loved; especially Sabrina.

All in all, we had a great time playing in the water and in the sand. At one point Alex dumped a bucket of wet sand in Sabrina's hair, but he's still alive, (I didn't even yell, but he knows never never to do that again). A stray dog showed up and Sabrina named him Blue. Marie-Anne

Louisiana- Berry Picking

My city kids have never been berry picking, that is until now! They had a lot of fun with it for a few minutes. Marie-Anne

Louisiana- Amelia's b-day Party at Chuck E. Cheese

After family pictures yesterday, we met at Chuck E. Cheese for Amelia's b-day party. Neddless to say all the kids had a great time while the parents tolerated the place, (it was packed).
