We hosted the Homeschool Group's Teen Event this month. We simply took them to a bowling alley and let them bowl two games. Fun and easy. Since we hosted it we got to bring Sabrina. One of the other Dads stayed too, which was awesome because he used to be on a league and he helped the kids and us.

Props for Annie Play
headbands for Daddy Warbucks' maids
bow tie for the dog catcher
I volunteered for Sabrina and me to make props for the Annie play. Here are some I made. We will do a separate post for the ones Sabrina makes. I am counting it as her art class. I used online tutorials and have had a lot of fun with it.
Homeschool Group- Game Club
We had the biggest turnout for Game Club that we have ever had. The kids got along quite nicely and played a bunch of games.

Running in the Park
Though we do not have another 5K scheduled, we still go to the park several times a week to run or walk. Sabrina ran her hardest and fastest.

Homeschool Club- Gavel and Drama
Alex took on the role of Toastmaster and shared interesting history facts. Sabrina gave an Educational Minute on using props in theatre. Sabrina was also voted to become the club's secretary, since the kid, who had that position quit.
Alex has a new role in the Annie play; not only is he Rooster, but now he is the dog catcher.

Phoenix Trip- Rest Area on the Way Home
I always want to stop at Nothing, Az. It is literally a parking lot with an abandoned building and the sign says, "Nothing". It does, however, have a trail that leads to boulders that I want to climb so we get out and walk around for a bit. Someday we will actually plan it into our trip and take the time to have a real hike there.

Phoenix Trip- Phoenix Zoo
It has been a few years since we have visited a zoo. It was a lot of fun and a lot of walking.

Phoenix Trip- Papago Park Hike
We took a short, but steep hike to an overlook of the city on one side and the desert on the other.
Phoenix Trip- Musical Instrument Museum
The Musical Instrument Museum is huge! We did not see and hear everything. We chose to visit this museum because it is unlike any we have ever visited.
Each museum visitor is given headphones that link in with the individual displays. As we walked around we heard music from all over the world and saw instruments we have never heard of. We were also introduced to famous musicians from various genres.
